Well girls, what can we say. Sometimes things just don’t work out as we plan, and we are certainly off to a year that will if nothing else build character…besides the obvious world tragedies of gut wrenching earthquakes in Haiti, even back here in our little corner of the world we are seeing much-needed healing for so many reasons…broken hearts, scary health issues, and having to make some sad goodbye’s, and we haven’t yet kicked off the January snow from our boots.

We are sad to share sorrow with Lorraine as she supports the love of her life Dave with the passing of him Mom, and our girl Lisa, as she loses her Daddy in the same week. (And a bit of double whammy when we hear of the news of Lisa’s friend Dick Marshall has also passed away suddenly, leaving his wife Wendy, and her family Leigh and Meghan, whom most of us Ya-yas also know.)

While our hearts are heavy with sorrow for so many losses, we hope there is comfort in knowing we have all been so eloquently placed in the right place, at the right time, at all times so we can be there to share and console. Alone, we are vulnerable, but as a group… We can handle “it”, whatever “it” is. May God grant us all peace, healing, comfort and strength as we continue to support our friends and family, and each other…..
